A Nihilistic Embrace?
It’s up to you whether or not Liza embraces the darkness of what she has become, or if you want her to maintain even just a shred of her humanity. Traverse a 2D reimagination of Eastern Europe, as you wander the streets or fly above residents as a bat.
It’s a balancing act between keeping Liza above water (her Humanity) or allowing her to drown in the horrors of what the Countess expects of her (her Nihilism). Will you kill your meals or will you release them after consuming a sufficient amount of blood?
Mingle With Society
Build relationships with fellow vampires whilst you attempt to blend in with humans as best you can, all of which are written on in-game character sheets that you can look back on. For your next meal, you must indulge in uncovering the secrets and lives of those around you. If you know them, you’ll find it much easier to lure them in.
Balance Liza’s skills, which she requires to be able to converse with people of varying careers and classes. From history to literature, science to art, you need to sink your teeth into a range of hobbies and topics to increase your knowledge. You can even play the piano.
You can’t have a game set in a gothic 19th-century world without customisation. Unlock new gowns for Liza, which you can browse through and equip in the Armoire. They don’t just look charming, they also provide additional effects, like boosting specific skills.
