New Indie Game Mop Skater Mixes PowerWash Simulator With Skate!
If you’ve ever worked cleaning shifts for retail or otherwise, you’ll know that finding the fun in mundane is key to fending off the grueling feeling of chores at work. Enter Mop Skater, a recent indie drop by Youpiepoopie. This humble game is exactly what it says on the tin, skating around maps with a mop whilst cleaning, performing tricks, and accumulating a score.
With an arcade-like playstyle, you’ll always be chasing your latest high score whilst exploring grimey maps through several game modes. From freeplay mopping for fun, timed challenges to clean an entire map, or avoiding previous clean tracks whilst performing tricks to generate scores, there are plenty of ways to enjoy the game.
IRL Cleaning Motivation Not Supplied
Mop Skater marries games such as Skate and PowerWash Simulator into a harmonious and hilarious title. Being the only clean freak in the game, players have their work cut out for them. But, underneath the layers of muck, Mop Skater hides secrets so there’s a layer to the game for players to discover on their own. Or, simply enjoy the game for its sweet satisfying simplicity, perform fun mop combos, and customise your cleaning kit.
An insight into the more gritty part of Mop Skater (bad puns, sorry), the game plays from first-person POV, includes Xbox controller support, and is currently only single-player. Perhaps in the future the game will introduce multiplayer with features such as turf-wars, spleef, or other chaotic cleaning mayhem.
