Crystal of Atlan Launches Precursor Test in Select Regions

Magic MMORPG Crystal of Atlan has just launched what is being titled a ‘Precursor Test’ – but it’s only running until the 5th of March, so you’d better hurry if you want to get involved.

Only available to players based in Canada, Germany, Brazil, or the United Kingdom, the game sees you embark on a journey into a fantasy world that combines magic and technology. 

During your adventures you explore ruins and meet powerful factions like the Magitech Institute, the Stavo Family, and Maxwell Industries. You must restore peace to Atlan and unveil the truth behind its muddy history. You know, the usual stuff. 

This plot has been quite important when developing the game though, with the Game Director of Crystal of Atlan themselves saying: “One of the most crucial philosophies in game development is enhancing the player’s experience with a compelling narrative. Crystal of Atlan presents a Magicpunk-themed world with a story highlighting a divided society, conflict and resistance, and eventual harmony.” So there you go.

In terms of gameplay battles are the main draw here, with moves ranging from high-speed melee bombardments, powerful magic, tactical ranged attacks, or defensive tanking.

You can select from 4 main classes – Swordsman, Musketeer,  Puppeteer, and Magister – with 8 advanced subclasses available as well. Each offers their own advantages and disadvantages.

The precursor test is the latest test the game has gone through, but it’s already had a Technical Beta phase already too. Through this it gained enhanced controls, refined combat effects, an upgraded class-change system, as well as a more streamlined download process.

This test supports English, German, and Portuguese speakers too, with the official release set to include additional languages like French and Spanish.
